On Saturday, October 14th from 9am – 12pm SHARP, Thorp & Trainer invites community members to stop by our office on Airport Road in Westerly to safely discard important documents containing your personal information.
The public is invited to bring ONLY 2 BOXES of old statements, legal records and other sensitive documents to be shredded.
No magazines or phone books please.
This event helps to highlight the importance of taking appropriate steps to prevent identity theft, and that starts with properly discarding your important documents. Besides having your privacy violated, victims of this crime have seen their credit history destroyed and spend years repairing it.
Donations will also be accepted for Stand Up For Animals. Pet care supplies needed are: canned and dry kitten food; canned and dry cat food; canned and dry dog food: KMR (kitten milk replacement); and cat litter. Gifts cards are also welcomed to the following: Agway, Tractor Supply, PetSmart and Walmart.
